2023 Winter Artpreneurship Bootcamp

Five-day accelerated Artpreneurship Bootcamp designed to provide those students in arts and humanities with fast learning and adapting for starting a business. An accelerated winter Artpreneurship Bootcamp is designed to introduce students in the arts and humanities to entrepreneurship and the business side of creativity. In doing so, they will recognize that their work can be transitioned or transformed into a viable business — using their work as a product or creating a service-based business, opening up a small business, start-up or simply creating a solo partnership.

Through a series of online and offline lectures and demonstrations with daily professional speakers, students will learn why entrepreneurship is a solid career path for art students. Throughout the Bootcamp, while learning about entrepreneurship, all students are required to prepare to ideate their potential new businesses, which will be demonstrated during the last two days of the camp. The camp will start on January 9 and end on January 13 (10 am to 2:30 pm), 100% Zoom format.

OVERVIEW

Each day will consist of  2 to 3 hours of lectures, demonstrations, and speakers (we have 6 confirmed speakers). The last 30 minutes of class time is designated for reflection and to review each student’s business ideas. The last day of the camp (Friday, 1/13) is designed for students to showcase their newly developed businesses. This is the Pitch session, and students are able to showcase their newly created businesses by way of presenting a 20-minute pitch to the camp. Judges will be on hand for feedback on their presentations.
